Explore how to embed meaningful financial literacy education across your curriculum so that young people are equipped not just for exams, but for successful, independent adult lives.
This practical masterclass will help schools develop a coherent, progressive approach to financial education
Schools exist, first and foremost, to educate. But if we reduce education to examination performance alone, we diminish both its purpose and its power. Academic success matters – profoundly so – because qualifications open doors. Yet schools do not merely prepare learners for their next academic assessment; they prepare them for life. The real measure of a school’s impact is not only what learners achieve at eleven, sixteen or eighteen, but who they become at twenty-five, forty, and beyond.
A successful life outside the school gates requires more than a string of good grades. It demands independence of thought, emotional intelligence, resilience, cultural confidence, and readiness for the complex demands of further study, employment, and adult responsibility. These are not optional extras. They are core outcomes of a high-quality education. And underpinning all this is solid financial literacy - the importance of preparing learners for strong, independent financial health. After all, being fiscally secure is critical if young people are to thrive in adulthood.
In this Education Conferences half day masterclass, education expert Matt Bromley will explore how to make a success of financial literacy education in your school.
