Change is always challenging. And in school life the pressure is always on. If you’re stepping into someone else’s shoes or taking on a new challenge there will inevitably be resistance from some as you begin to do things differently whilst also finding your feet. This course will help you understand the different energies within your team and provide you with a framework for leading them effectively.
Before this course you will receive your own unique GC Index link to complete an online assessment. During the training you will receive your report and gain an understanding of the kind of leader you are, what energises you and how you can make your best impact in your school. You will also gain an understanding of the various other energies that are likely to be operating within your new team – and how to harness and nurture those energies effectively.

Peter is an experienced public speaker, teacher, trainer and coach with a wealth of experience of leadership, management, personal development and education. He now works with schools and organisations to help develop the strategies and momentum to meet the challenge of change and achieve their goals.
Author of Love Teaching Keep Teaching, Peter draws from his experience in the profession to help school leaders create a school culture in which all stakeholders can thrive. He is an accredited GCologist and uses a ground-breaking team assessment tool called the GC (Game Changer) Index to help establish dynamic, game-changing teams.
Peter has worked in education for over 30 years and as a school leader has particular experience in effecting change at a whole organisation level through addressing systems and mindsets that stifle progress. Peter has overseen Ethos & Aspiration in two large secondary schools and led both to achieve the Unicef Rights Respecting School Award. He now speaks to students, staff and leaders around the country inspiring change.
