Trust Growth: Planning a successful roadmap for growth

Thu, 13 Jun 2024

Virtual, Online

Led by a CEO and CFO with years of experience in schools and trusts, this masterclass helps you to plot a growth roadmap for your trust, including developing central capacity ahead of need, developing an effective scheme of delegation and identifying common pitfalls and how to overcome them.

The government’s vision is for every school to become part of a multi academy trust, but as trust leaders, how do you put a sensible growth plan in place that balances the capacity required in order to grow with the provision of excellent education to all pupils in the trust?

Join experienced CEO and CFO Stephen Mitchell for this masterclass that helps trust leaders to plan a roadmap for effective growth. During the day you will consider how to position yourself so that schools want to join your trust, how to develop an effective scheme of delegation so that roles and responsibilities are clear, how to develop central capacity ahead of need without breaking the budget and how to balance the capacity givers and capacity takers.

You will also discuss common pitfalls in trust growth and how to overcome them, including unsuitable governance arrangements and failure to put structures in place that are suitable for the current trust and robust enough to grow as the trust expands.
