Follow the conference on X #Schoolinspection

Ofsted’s September 2026 inspection changes are now in effect, shaping how schools and trusts are being inspected in the 2026/27 academic year. With updated grading toolkits and inspector guidance now being applied, leaders need to understand what has changed, what early inspection experience is beginning to show, and how to respond proportionately.

This timely November conference will provide practical insight into Ofsted’s 2026/27 inspection priorities, including achievement, disadvantaged pupils, inclusion, SEND, safeguarding, attendance, behaviour, culture, medical needs and enrichment. Delegates will explore how the September changes are being interpreted in practice and what they mean for leadership, governance, curriculum, teaching and whole-school improvement.

Sessions will bring together experienced school leaders, education specialists and sector experts to examine emerging lessons from the updated inspection arrangements. The programme will support delegates to review their own inspection readiness, strengthen evidence and documentation, engage staff and governors, and prepare for inspection without creating unnecessary workload or anxiety.

Recognising the pressure inspection can place on staff and pupils, the conference will also consider the human impact of inspection. Delegates will explore approaches to emotional readiness, staff wellbeing and sustaining a positive professional culture before, during and after inspection.

This conference is particularly relevant for headteachers, senior leaders, governors, trustees, DSLs, SENDCos, inclusion leads, curriculum leaders and trust leaders seeking clear, practical guidance on Ofsted inspection in 2026/27 and the implications of the September changes now they are in place.
